SUMMARY:Storytime with United for Literacy
DESCRIPTION:A two-hour storytime session in the North Woods area where fami
 lies hear two children's books read aloud\, then do crafts and colouring i
 nspired by the stories. The first book is Chaiwala by Priti Birla Maheshwa
 ri\, about a girl buying spiced tea at a train station in India. The secon
 d is Malaika's Costume by Nadia Hohn\, where a girl and her grandmother tu
 rn fabric scraps into a parade outfit\, which pairs with the Toon Town Tai
 lor Shop craft station at the hub. Every family takes home a free book\, a
 nd United for Literacy will have a booth there to chat about family litera
 cy and reading at home. The session runs August 11\, and a second date is 
 also available on August 18.
