saskatoon concert band: the brazen bassoon

The Saskatoon Concert Band presents a classical concert centered on bassoonist Zachary Senick, a Saskatoon native who holds a doctoral degree from the University of Toronto. Senick performs Carl Maria von Weber's Bassoon Concerto in F Major, a standard repertoire piece for the instrument. He has worked with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and Orchestre de la Francophonie, and is known as an advocate for contemporary music, having commissioned works from more than 20 Ukrainian composers. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the concert starting at 7:30 p.m.
