a working pottery studio where you can actually get your hands in the clay rather than just paint a pre-made piece. they run drop-in wheel sessions, hand-building classes, and member studio time, with beginner intro classes most weeks. the wheel is harder than it looks and more fun than you expect, and a good instructor makes the difference. you can try it once without signing up for a whole series, which makes it an easy first go. wear something you do not mind getting muddy.
