Wanuskewin Heritage Park
a national historic site and Indigenous-led park just north of the city, set in a coulee that Northern Plains peoples have used for thousands of years. roughly 6km of trails wind past archaeological sites, tipi rings, and a restored bison herd grazing the grasslands. the interpretive centre carries galleries, programming, and a restaurant serving Indigenous-inspired food. give it a half day, and go in the morning if you want the best odds of seeing the bison up close.
