arts & culturechillfamily friendly
Loretta Todd's documentary follows Indigenous Canadians who enlisted and fought in the Second World War, even though they could not be conscripted. The film shares testimony from veterans about their service and the difficult path to healing after returning home to a country that denied them equality and seized their land.
This fifty-one-minute screening is free and open to the public in honour of National Indigenous Veterans Day. You'll need to check in at the front desk to receive a film token. The film contains imagery of war and mature subject matter, so viewer discretion is advised.
