ecosystems of denial: holodomor negation in past and present

Dr. Henry H. Prown, from the Holodomor Research and Education Consortium at the University of Alberta, gives an illustrated lecture on the history and ongoing denial of the 1932–33 famine in Ukraine. He traces how efforts to obscure or distort the Holodomor have evolved from the 1930s to today, and why historical truth matters against propaganda and disinformation.

The event runs on Ukrainian Famine and Genocide Memorial Day and takes about 90 minutes. No registration is needed, and admission is free for museum members or seven dollars at the door for everyone else.
